If your infection looks more like picture 2 or 3, you should consult your doctor.\u003cbr\u003e • The active substance of Schollmed Onychomycosis is amorolfine (as hydrochloride) which belongs to a group of medicines known as antifungals.\u003cbr\u003e • Schollmed Onychomycosis kills a wide variety of fungi that can cause nail infections. A nail affected by a fungal infection is likely to be discolored (white, yellow, or brown), pitted, or brittle, although its appearance can vary greatly.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eDo not use Schollmed Onychomycosis:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e • if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance (amorolfine) or to any of the other ingredients of Schollmed Onychomycosis (listed in section 6);\u003cbr\u003e • if you are under 18 years of age.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e This medicine may cause allergic reactions, some of which can be serious. If this occurs, discontinue use, remove the product immediately with nail polish remover or cleansing pads, and consult your doctor. The product should not be reapplied.\u003cbr\u003e You should get urgent medical attention if you experience any of the following symptoms:\u003cbr\u003e • has difficulty breathing;\u003cbr\u003e • your face, lips, tongue, or throat swells;\u003cbr\u003e • the skin develops a severe rash.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Amorolfine:\u003cbr\u003e • if you suffer from diabetes;\u003cbr\u003e • if you are being treated for immune system disorders;\u003cbr\u003e • if you suffer from circulatory problems in your hands and feet;\u003cbr\u003e • if the nail is severely damaged or infected.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If Schollmed Onychomycosis comes into contact with your eyes or ears, rinse immediately with water and contact your doctor, pharmacist or nearest hospital. \u003cbr\u003eAvoid contact with mucous membranes (e.g., mouth and nostrils). Do not inhale.\u003cbr\u003e Wear waterproof gloves when using organic solvents, so as not to remove nail polish.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e This medicine contains 55.4% w\/w alcohol (ethanol).\u003cbr\u003e May cause burning sensation on damaged skin.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Like all medicines, Schollmed Onychomycosis can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eRare side effects (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people)\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Your nails may become discolored, break, or brittle.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eVery rare side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people)\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e You may experience a burning sensation in the area around the nail.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eFrequency not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data)\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Redness, itching, hives, blisters and allergic skin reaction (contact dermatitis).\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eReporting of side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If you experience any side effects, including any not listed in this leaflet, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
