{"product_id":"acido-borico-afom-soluz-u-e-500-ml-3","title":"BORIC ACID AFOM \"3% SKIN SOLUTION\" 1 BOTTLE OF 500 ML\"","description":"\u003cb\u003eName\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eBORIC ACID AFOM 3% cutaneous solution\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Boric acid\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat it is and what it is used for\u003c\/b\u003e \u003cbr\u003eBORIC ACID AFOM contains the active ingredient boric acid which belongs to a group of medicines called antiseptics and disinfectants which work by slowing down or preventing the growth of bacteria.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e This medicine is indicated for:\u003cbr\u003e - disinfect minor burns and irritated or chapped areas of skin;\u003cbr\u003e - reduce swelling caused by fluid accumulation (decongestant);\u003cbr\u003e - treat an inflammatory skin disease (acne).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Contact your doctor if you notice no improvement or if you notice worsening of symptoms after a few days.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eDo not use BORIC ACID AFOM\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - if you are allergic to boric acid or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);\u003cbr\u003e - if you have very extensive skin lesions;\u003cbr\u003e - if the person who is to use this medicine is under 3 years of age (See section \"Children\").\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e \u003cbr\u003eTalk to your doctor or pharmacist before using BORIC ACID AFOM.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e This medicine should not be applied to the eyes.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Keep this medicine out of the reach of children, as it can cause death if swallowed (See section \"If you use more AFOM BORIC ACID than you should\").\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Avoid applying the product for prolonged periods of time and at excessive doses, on very large areas of skin or on wounds (damaged skin), as toxic effects may occur (See the paragraph \"Possible side effects\").\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eChildren\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The use of this medicine is contraindicated in children under 3 years of age.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Following inappropriate use of the medicine (systemic route) or application of boric acid to wounds and lesions, the following undesirable effects may occur:\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eFrequency not known\u003c\/b\u003e (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data)\u003cbr\u003e - skin irritations (dermatitis, rashes), hair loss (alopecia);\u003cbr\u003e - nausea, vomiting, diarrhea;\u003cbr\u003e - loss of appetite (anorexia);\u003cbr\u003e - menstrual cycle disorders;\u003cbr\u003e - reduction in the number of red blood cells in the blood (anemia);\u003cbr\u003e - weakness;\u003cbr\u003e - confusion;\u003cbr\u003e - convulsions.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eReporting of side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
