Diclofenac belongs to the class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and is used to reduce pain and inflammation.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Diclofenac Sandoz Gel is indicated for the local treatment of painful and inflammatory conditions of rheumatic or traumatic nature affecting:\u003cbr\u003e • joints;\u003cbr\u003e • muscles; \u003cbr\u003e• tendons and ligaments.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Contact your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eDo not use Diclofenac Sandoz Gel\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e • if you are allergic to the active substance or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);\u003cbr\u003e • if you have previously had symptoms of an allergic reaction such as asthma (e.g. wheezing and shortness of breath), angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue and\/or throat with difficulty swallowing and\/or breathing), urticaria (skin rash), or acute forms of inflammation of the nose (acute rhinitis) after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs);\u003cbr\u003e • if you are in the third trimester of pregnancy (see section \"Pregnancy and breast-feeding\");\u003cbr\u003e • if the patient is a child or adolescent under 14 years of age.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e \u003cbr\u003eTalk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Diclofenac Sandoz Gel.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Pay special attention:\u003cbr\u003e • do not swallow Diclofenac Sandoz Gel; wash your hands after use;\u003cbr\u003e • do not apply Diclofenac Sandoz Gel on broken, diseased or open wounds;\u003cbr\u003e • avoid contact of Diclofenac Sandoz Gel with your eyes or mucous membranes, such as those of the mouth or vagina. If this occurs, wash the area immediately with running water and contact your doctor;\u003cbr\u003e • do not use Diclofenac Sandoz Gel with an occlusive dressing, i.e. covering the affected area with a plastic film that does not allow air to pass through.
