The pharmacological effects are mainly due to the inhibition of prostaglandin synthetase. \u003cbr\u003eThe activity of the active ingredient administered topically in various models of acute and chronic inflammation occurs even in the presence of reduced plasma levels.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e DOLAUT MONO is indicated for the treatment of painful and inflammatory conditions of a rheumatic and traumatic nature of the joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhen it should not be used:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients\u003cbr\u003e - On open wounds or lesions\u003cbr\u003e - Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes\u003cbr\u003e - In case of history of hypersensitivity reaction (asthma, allergic rhinitis, skin rashes and anaphylactic reactions) or gastrointestinal bleeding from anti-inflammatory drugs\u003cbr\u003e - In the presence of active peptic ulcer, in patients with bronchial asthma or undergoing anticoagulant therapy\u003cbr\u003e - pregnancy and breastfeeding\u003cbr\u003e - children under 12 years of age\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e \u003cbr\u003eAnalgesics, antipyretics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, including piroxicam, can cause hypersensitivity reactions, potentially serious even in subjects not previously exposed to this type of drug.\u003cbr\u003e DOLAUT MONO must be used with great caution and on doctor's prescription in the elderly, in subjects with chronic bronchitis, allergic rhinitis or inflammation of the nasal mucosa (in whom asthmatic attacks or severe inflammatory reactions of the skin and mucosa are more frequent), in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases (such as gastrointestinal ulcer, ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease), in patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding not secondary to the administration of NSAIDs or with other bleeding disorders, with liver or kidney dysfunction or with heart failure.
