{"product_id":"lomexin-crema-derm-30-g-2","title":"LOMEXIN 20 MG\/G CREAM 30 G TUBE","description":"\u003cb\u003eName\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eLomexin 20 mg\/g cream\u003cbr\u003e Lomexin 20 mg\/ml cutaneous spray, solution\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Fenticonazole nitrate\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat it is and what it is used for\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Lomexin contains the active substance fenticonazole nitrate.\u003cbr\u003e It belongs to a group of medicines called \"antifungals\" for skin use and works against infections caused by fungi.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Lomexin is used locally (topical use) for the treatment of the following conditions: \u003cbr\u003e• skin infections caused by fungi called dermatophytes ( \u003cem\u003eTrichophyton\u003c\/em\u003e , \u003cem\u003eMicrosporum\u003c\/em\u003e , \u003cem\u003eEpidermophyton\u003c\/em\u003e dermatomycosis) located in different parts of the body: ringworm of the hair ( \u003cem\u003etinea capitis\u003c\/em\u003e ), ringworm of the body ( \u003cem\u003etinea corporis\u003c\/em\u003e ), ringworm of the groin ( \u003cem\u003etinea cruris\u003c\/em\u003e ), ringworm of the foot ( \u003cem\u003etinea pedis\u003c\/em\u003e also called athlete's foot), ringworm of the hand ( \u003cem\u003etinea manuum\u003c\/em\u003e ), ringworm of the face ( \u003cem\u003etinea faciei\u003c\/em\u003e ), ringworm affecting the hair follicles ( \u003cem\u003etinea barbae\u003c\/em\u003e ), ringworm of the nails ( \u003cem\u003etinea unguium\u003c\/em\u003e );\u003cbr\u003e • skin infections caused by fungi of the Candida genus (candidiasis such as intertrigo, perleche, facial candidiasis, \"diaper\", perineal and scrotal candidiasis);\u003cbr\u003e • infections localized in some parts of the male genitals (balanitis, balanoposthitis);\u003cbr\u003e • localized nail infections (onychia and paronychia); \u003cbr\u003e• infection caused by fungi called \"pityriasis versicolor\" (from \u003cem\u003ePityrosporum orbiculare\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cem\u003eP. ovale\u003c\/em\u003e );\u003cbr\u003e • ear infections caused by fungi (Candida or mold otomycosis), only if there are no lesions in a part of the ear called the eardrum;\u003cbr\u003e • skin infection called \"erythrasma\";\u003cbr\u003e • infections caused by fungi (mycosis) which also present bacterial superinfections (from Gram-positive bacteria).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short time of treatment.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eDo not use Lomexin:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - if you are allergic to fenticonazole nitrate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if:\u003cbr\u003e - you are pregnant or breastfeeding, in both cases Lomexin must be used under the supervision of a doctor (see section \"Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility\"); \u003cbr\u003e- if you experience any irritation or sensitivity to the product, treatment should be discontinued; consult your doctor who will recommend an appropriate therapy;\u003cbr\u003e - prolonged use, for example 3-4 weeks, of medicines for local use (topical use) can cause allergic reactions (sensitization phenomena).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Lomexin is for cutaneous use only, for external use, do not apply to mucous membranes or broken\/damaged skin. Avoid contact with eyes; if this should happen, rinse thoroughly with water. Lomexin contains excipients that have known effects and require special warnings and precautions (see paragraph \"Important information about some excipients\").\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003eWhen used as recommended, Lomexin is only poorly absorbed and no side effects that may affect the entire organism (systemic effects) are expected.
