{"product_id":"luan-gel-100-g-1-uso-chirurgico","title":"LUAN \"1% GEL\" TUBE 100 G\"","description":"\u003cb\u003eName\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eLUAN 1% gel\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Lidocaine hydrochloride\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat it is and what it is used for\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Luan contains the active substance lidocaine hydrochloride which belongs to a group of medicines called local anaesthetics which block the sensation of pain in the area where they are applied.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eLuan is indicated to facilitate the introduction of tubes for anesthesia and into the esophagus (esophagoscopic intubations) and for the insertion of probes into the pharynx, trachea, bronchi or rectum (pharyngoscopies, tracheobronchoscopies, gastroscopy and rectoscopy) and in all endoscopic indications for exploratory and curative purposes.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eDo not use Luan if:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e • are allergic to lidocaine hydrochloride, to similar substances (amide-type local anaesthetics) or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Luan.\u003cbr\u003e The medicine should be used in the minimum quantity necessary to obtain the desired effect and application for long periods of time should be avoided, because allergic reactions (sensitization phenomena) may occur. \u003cbr\u003eIn this case, it is recommended to stop treatment and inform your doctor who will prescribe an appropriate therapy.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The medicine should be used with caution if in the application area:\u003cbr\u003e • has severely damaged or inflamed mucous membranes;\u003cbr\u003e • has a serious infection (sepsis) of the mucous membranes.\u003cbr\u003e In these cases, in fact, an excessive quantity of lidocaine can pass into the blood and cause serious disorders of the nervous system (CNS), heart and circulation (cardiovascular system), especially in children, the elderly and debilitated people (see the paragraph “Possible side effects”).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eChildren\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e This medicine should be used with caution in children, especially if there is damage, inflammation or severe infection of the mucous membranes at the application site.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Like all medicines, Luan can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eSide effects that may occur are listed below:\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e • allergic reactions (hypersensitivity) at the application site, characterised by pain, burning and itching;\u003cbr\u003e • severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock);\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e When the medicine is applied to irritated or damaged skin, over large areas of the body, at high doses or in the presence of fever, the risk of unwanted and toxic effects affecting the whole body (systemic) increases.\u003cbr\u003e (See section “Warnings and precautions”).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eReporting of side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
