Wash the area to be treated. Moisten the head of the pencil by briefly placing it under water. The color of the head changes to white or light gray. Clean or apply the head repeatedly, precisely and evenly, to the area being treated. The treated area will quickly change color and turn black; over the course of a few days, this area will be rejected by the surrounding tissue.
