This medicine is also used to provide pain relief (analgesic) in case of headache (cephalea), nerve and muscle pain (neuralgia, myalgia) and other painful manifestations of medium severity and of different origin.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Contact your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 3 days of treatment.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eDo not take PARACETAMOL ZETA:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking PARACETAMOL ZETA.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Take this medicine \u003cb\u003ewith caution\u003c\/b\u003e : \u003cbr\u003e- if you suffer from eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, cachexia);\u003cbr\u003e - if he is malnourished (low liver glutathione reserves) or dehydrated;\u003cbr\u003e - if you have a reduction in the volume of blood in circulation (hypovolemia);\u003cbr\u003e - if you suffer from liver problems such as mild to moderate hepatocellular insufficiency, Gilbert's syndrome (an inherited disease that causes yellowing of the skin), severe liver failure, acute hepatitis and if you are taking other medicines that alter the function of the liver;\u003cbr\u003e - if you have a rare hereditary disease characterised by low levels of an enzyme known as glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase;\u003cbr\u003e - if you suffer from haemolytic anaemia, characterised by a low number of red blood cells in the blood.\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003eDuring treatment with PARACETAMOLO ZETA, tell your doctor immediately if you suffer from serious illnesses, including severe kidney failure or sepsis (when bacteria and their toxins circulate in the blood causing organ damage) or malnutrition, chronic alcoholism or if you are also taking flucloxacillin (an antibiotic). A serious condition called metabolic acidosis (an abnormality of the blood and fluids) has been reported in patients in these situations when paracetamol is used at regular doses over a prolonged period or when paracetamol is taken in combination with flucloxacillin. Symptoms of metabolic acidosis may include: severe breathing difficulties with rapid deep breathing, drowsiness, nausea and vomiting.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e While taking this medicine, do not use other products containing paracetamol at the same time and inform your doctor if you are taking other medicines.\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003eIf you take high doses of the medicine or for prolonged periods of time, damage to the kidneys and blood may occur, which may be serious. For this reason, if you suffer from serious kidney problems (renal insufficiency), take the medicine only in cases of real need and under the direct supervision of your doctor.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Stop treatment immediately and contact your doctor if you experience allergic reactions.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If you take this medicine for a long time, have liver function tests and blood tests (blood count).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Taking this medicine may alter the results of some laboratory tests such as measuring the levels of uric acid (uricemia) or sugar (glycemia) in the blood.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The following side effects may occur:\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eFrequency not known\u003c\/b\u003e (cannot be estimated from the available data):\u003cbr\u003e - a serious condition which can make the blood more acidic (called metabolic acidosis), in patients with a serious illness who use paracetamol (see section 2);\u003cbr\u003e - reduction of platelets (thrombocytopenia), white blood cells (leukopenia, agranulocytosis) and red blood cells (anemia) in the blood;\u003cbr\u003e - allergic reactions (hypersensitivity reactions) such as skin irritation (skin rash with erythema or urticaria), swelling of the face, tongue and throat (angioedema), swelling of the larynx (larynx edema) and serious allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock);\u003cbr\u003e - dizziness;\u003cbr\u003e - stomach and intestinal disorders (gastrointestinal reaction);\u003cbr\u003e - liver problems (abnormal liver function, hepatitis);\u003cbr\u003e - severe skin reactions (erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, epidermal necrolysis, rash);\u003cbr\u003e - severe kidney problems (acute renal failure, interstitial nephritis); \u003cbr\u003e- presence of blood in the urine (hematuria), failure to eliminate urine (anuria).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Very rare cases of serious skin reactions have been reported.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eReporting of side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
