{"product_id":"rinocidina-gtt-rinol-5-ml-7-5-mg-3-mg","title":"RINOCIDINA \"7.5 MG + 3 MG NASAL DROPS, SOLUTION\" 1 BOTTLE OF 15 ML\"","description":"\u003cb\u003eName\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eRinocidin 7.5 mg + 3 mg nasal drops, solution\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Naphazolin nitrate + thyrothricin\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat is it and what is it for?\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Rinocidin is a medicine based on naphazoline nitrate (a nasal decongestant) and tyrothricin (an antibiotic effective in the local treatment of nasal infections).\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003eThis medicine is used in the topical treatment of bacterial inflammation of the nasal mucosa (rhinitis) and paranasal cavities (sinusitis).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Contact your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eDo not use Rinocidin:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to naphazoline nitrate, tyrothricin, similar substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);\u003cbr\u003e - if you suffer from heart disease;\u003cbr\u003e - if your blood pressure in your arteries is very high (severe arterial hypertension);\u003cbr\u003e - if you have a disease caused by high pressure inside the eye called \"glaucoma\";\u003cbr\u003e - if you suffer from excessive activity of the gland called thyroid (hyperthyroidism);\u003cbr\u003e - if you are taking certain medicines to treat depression called \"Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs)\"; \u003cbr\u003e- if you have stopped taking certain medicines to treat depression called \"Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs)\" less than two weeks ago;\u003cbr\u003e - in children under 12 years of age.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Rinocidina:\u003cbr\u003e - if you are elderly and\/or your prostate is enlarged (prostatic hypertrophy), because your urine may be retained in your bladder (urinary retention);\u003cbr\u003e - if you suffer from heart disease, particularly high blood pressure (hypertension), the use of the medicine will be assessed from time to time by your doctor;\u003cbr\u003e - if sudden symptoms appear, such as: severe headache, nausea, vomiting, or vision changes. Your doctor may decide to discontinue therapy. In most cases, these symptoms improve or resolve within a few days following appropriate treatment;\u003cbr\u003e - in case of loss of smell.\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003eThe use, especially if prolonged, of products applied directly to the affected area (topical products) may cause sensitization phenomena; in this case, it is necessary to discontinue treatment and, if necessary, consult a doctor who must establish appropriate therapy.\u003cbr\u003e Prolonged use of vasoconstrictors (the category of drugs to which \"Rinocidin\" belongs) can alter the normal function of the nasal mucosa and paranasal sinuses, possibly leading to drug addiction. Use of the drug for extended periods may be harmful.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eChildren and Adolescents\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e RINOCIDINA is contraindicated in children under 12 years of age (see section \"Do not use Rinocidina\").\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. \u003cbr\u003eThe medicine may worsen the sensation of nasal stuffiness, irritation, and swelling of the blood vessels lining the nose (rebound sensitization and mucous congestion). Rapid absorption of the medicine through the inflamed nasal mucosa may cause the following systemic effects:\u003cbr\u003e • an increase in blood pressure in the arteries (arterial hypertension); an excessive slowing of the heartbeat (reflex bradycardia);\u003cbr\u003e • headache (cephalalgia);\u003cbr\u003e • urination disorders (micturition disorders).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eReporting of side effects\u003c\/b\u003e \u003cbr\u003eIf you experience any side effects, including any not listed in this leaflet, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
