{"product_id":"sertagyn-300-mg-ovuli1-ovulo-uso-vaginale","title":"SERTAGYN \"300 MG OVULES\"1 OVULE FOR VAGINAL USE\"","description":"\u003cb\u003eName\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eSERTAGYN 300 mg ovule\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Sertaconazole nitrate\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eWhat it is and what it is used for\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e SERTAGYN contains the active substance sertaconazole nitrate which belongs to the category of gynaecological antimicrobials and antiseptics (chemical substances that kill microorganisms or inhibit their growth) - Imidazole derivatives.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e SERTAGYN is indicated for the local treatment of clinically proven vaginal candidiasis, i.e. an infection caused by fungi of the \u003cem\u003eCandida\u003c\/em\u003e genus.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eDo not use SERTAGYN\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - if you are allergic to sertaconazole nitrate, to other closely related chemical substances (in particular to antifungals of the imidazole group) or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).\u003cbr\u003e - During pregnancy and breastfeeding (see section “Pregnancy and breastfeeding”)\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e \u003cbr\u003eTalk to your doctor or pharmacist before using SERTAGYN.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e In case of local intolerance or allergic reaction, treatment should be interrupted and the residual product can be removed by vaginal irrigation.\u003cbr\u003e The use of the product may interfere with the effectiveness of latex contraceptive devices (condoms and diaphragms) as it may cause them to break.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e In case of candidiasis also involving the vulvar and\/or perianal areas (areas of the external genitalia and those around the anus), it is recommended to combine therapy with sertaconazole in ovules for vaginal use with local treatment with another antifungal.\u003cbr\u003e In order to prevent a return of infections with the so-called ping-pong mechanism (i.e. transmission between partners), it is also essential to treat the partner with antifungal drugs.\u003cbr\u003e For local hygiene, the use of soaps with a neutral or alkaline pH is recommended, as soaps with an acidic pH can encourage the proliferation of Candida.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eThe medicine can also be used during menstruation.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Local intolerance symptoms, such as burning or itching sensations, have been reported rarely and generally resolved spontaneously.\u003cbr\u003e Allergy symptoms are possible.\u003cbr\u003e Increased liver enzymes have been reported rarely.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eReporting of side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
