This odor does not indicate an alteration of the medicine but is typical of the active ingredient;\u003cbr\u003e • if you have difficulty clearing phlegm. Your doctor may recommend techniques to avoid the accumulation of secretions, such as postural drainage or bronchoaspiration; \u003cbr\u003e• during treatment you may have difficulty breathing (bronchospasm), especially if this has happened to you on other occasions or if you have asthma. If this happens, immediately stop taking SOLMUCOL MUCOLITICO and consult your doctor.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Tell your doctor if you notice the following side effects during treatment with SOLMUCOL MUCOLITICO:\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003euncommon\u003c\/b\u003e (may affect up to 1 in 100 people)\u003cbr\u003e • nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, inflammation of the mouth (stomatitis), abdominal pain;\u003cbr\u003e • more or less sudden appearance of skin lesions, for example spotty or widespread changes in colour (rash), itching and hives, possible signs of allergy;\u003cbr\u003e • swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat which may cause difficulty swallowing or breathing (angioedema);\u003cbr\u003e • headache, fever; \u003cbr\u003e• tinnitus (buzzing, hissing, ringing, whistling or other persistent sounds in the ears);\u003cbr\u003e • increased heart rate (tachycardia), decreased blood pressure.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003erare\u003c\/b\u003e (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people)\u003cbr\u003e • indigestion (dyspepsia);\u003cbr\u003e • difficulty breathing (dyspnea).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003every rare\u003c\/b\u003e (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people)\u003cbr\u003e • bleeding (hemorrhage).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003enot known\u003c\/b\u003e (the frequency of which cannot be established from the available data)\u003cbr\u003e • swelling (edema) of the face;\u003cbr\u003e • bronchial obstruction.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eStop taking SOLMUCOL MUCOLITICO and consult your doctor immediately if\u003c\/b\u003e you experience:\u003cbr\u003e • severe allergic reactions (anaphylactic shock, anaphylactic\/anaphylactoid reaction);\u003cbr\u003e • severe skin rashes with redness, peeling and\/or blistering (e.g. Stevens-Johnson syndrome, Lyell syndrome).
