Sulphatiazole is an antibacterial. They are used to fight bacterial skin infections.\u003cbr\u003e This medicine is indicated in adults and children for the treatment of superficial skin infections:\u003cbr\u003e - folliculitis (infection of the hair follicle, the structure that surrounds the root of the hair);\u003cbr\u003e - furunculosis (inflammation of the skin characterized by the presence of boils);\u003cbr\u003e - minor burn wounds;\u003cbr\u003e - infected wounds.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a few days.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eDo not use Streptosil with Neomycin\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - if you are allergic to sulphatiazole or neomycin sulphate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);\u003cbr\u003e - for ear infections.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e \u003cbr\u003eTalk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Streptosil with neomycin.\u003cbr\u003e This medicine is not for ocular use; it is for external use only and should not be ingested.\u003cbr\u003e Do not use Streptosil with Neomycin for a prolonged period of time or in large quantities on large surfaces of skin, as the neomycin sulphate contained in this medicine, if absorbed, can cause kidney and ear problems.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Do not use this medicine if you have:\u003cbr\u003e - secondary skin infections (infections that develop on existing skin lesions);\u003cbr\u003e - extensive burns;\u003cbr\u003e - trophic ulcers (skin lesions due to impaired blood circulation);\u003cbr\u003e - conditions in which absorption of neomycin is possible.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If you use this product for a long time it may cause allergy. \u003cbr\u003eIf you use this medicine for a long time and inappropriately, you may experience overgrowth of non-susceptible bacteria or fungi and resistance to antibiotics, making the situation worse.\u003cbr\u003e If this occurs, you should stop treatment and contact your doctor.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eInfants and children\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Use Streptosil with Neomycin in early childhood only if necessary, under the direct supervision of a doctor.
