{"product_id":"tachipirina-20-cpr-div-500-mg","title":"TACHIPIRINA \"500 MG TABLETS\" 20 TABLETS\"","description":"\u003cb\u003eName\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eTACHIPIRINA 500 mg tablets\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Paracetamol\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat it is and what it is used for\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Tachipirina contains the active ingredient paracetamol which works by reducing fever (antipyretic) and relieving pain (analgesic).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Tachipirina is used in \u003cb\u003eadults\u003c\/b\u003e , \u003cb\u003eadolescents\u003c\/b\u003e and \u003cb\u003echildren\u003c\/b\u003e for:\u003cbr\u003e - symptomatic treatment of febrile conditions such as influenza, exanthematous diseases (infectious diseases typical of children and adolescents), acute respiratory tract diseases, etc.;\u003cbr\u003e - pain of various origins and natures (headaches, neuralgia, muscular pain and other painful manifestations of medium severity).\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003eContact your doctor if you\/your child does not feel better or if you\/your child feels worse after 3 days of treatment.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eDo not use Tachipirina:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - if the person taking the medicine is allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Tachipirina.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e In the following cases, use Tachipirina with caution if you have to take the medicine:\u003cbr\u003e - uses alcohol chronically or excessively (3 or more alcoholic drinks per day);\u003cbr\u003e - suffers from anorexia (an eating disorder characterized by lack or reduction of appetite);\u003cbr\u003e - suffers from bulimia (an eating disorder in which a person eats an excessive amount of food and then resorts to various methods to eliminate it); \u003cbr\u003e- suffers from cachexia (a condition characterized by extreme thinness, reduced muscle mass and thinning of the skin due to chronic diseases);\u003cbr\u003e - has been following an incorrect diet for a long time (chronic malnutrition);\u003cbr\u003e - suffers from dehydration (severe loss of water\/fluid from the body);\u003cbr\u003e - suffers from hypovolemia (reduced blood volume in circulation);\u003cbr\u003e - suffers from liver diseases that reduce its functionality (liver failure, hepatitis, Gilbert's syndrome);\u003cbr\u003e - is undergoing concomitant treatment with medicines that alter liver function (see \"Other medicines and Tachipirina\");\u003cbr\u003e - suffers from glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency (a substance normally present in the human body, the deficiency of which can cause a blood disease);\u003cbr\u003e - suffers from hemolytic anemia (destruction of red blood cells).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e During treatment with TACHIPIRINA, inform your doctor immediately if: \u003cbr\u003e- if you have serious illnesses, including severe kidney failure or sepsis (when bacteria and their toxins circulate in the blood causing organ damage) or malnutrition, chronic alcoholism or if you are also taking flucloxacillin (an antibiotic). A serious condition called metabolic acidosis (an abnormality of the blood and fluids) has been reported in patients in these situations when paracetamol is used at regular doses over a long period or when paracetamol is taken in combination with flucloxacillin. Symptoms of metabolic acidosis may include: severe breathing difficulties with rapid deep breathing, drowsiness, nausea and vomiting.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cem\u003eUse of high doses and\/or for prolonged periods\u003c\/em\u003e \u003cbr\u003eThe use of high and\/or prolonged doses of this medicine can cause even serious alterations to the kidney and blood. In these cases, the doctor will monitor over time, through appropriate tests, the functionality of the liver, kidneys and the composition of the blood. Before taking this medicine, \u003cb\u003einform\u003c\/b\u003e the doctor if the person who must take the medicine suffers from kidney or liver disease.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eChildren and adolescents\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Tachipirina can be given to children and adolescents (see section 3 \"How to use Tachipirina\").\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If you\/your child experiences the following side effects \u003cb\u003eSTOP\u003c\/b\u003e taking this medicine and contact your doctor \u003cb\u003eimmediately\u003c\/b\u003e :\u003cbr\u003e • allergic reactions with:\u003cbr\u003e - redness of the skin accompanied by itching (hives);\u003cbr\u003e - swelling of the throat (laryngeal edema); \u003cbr\u003e- swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, face, lips, tongue and\/or throat (angioedema);\u003cbr\u003e - severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e In addition, people taking the medicine may experience the following side effects, for which there are not enough data to establish the frequency.\u003cbr\u003e • reduction in the number of platelets in the blood (thrombocytopenia);\u003cbr\u003e • reduction in the number of white blood cells in the blood (leukopenia\/agranulocytosis);\u003cbr\u003e • reduction of hemoglobin in the blood, the substance that carries oxygen in the blood (anemia);\u003cbr\u003e • dizziness;\u003cbr\u003e • stomach and intestinal disorders;\u003cbr\u003e • abnormal liver function;\u003cbr\u003e • inflammation of the liver (hepatitis);\u003cbr\u003e • red spots, bullous lesions with areas of skin detachment, blisters, skin rashes (erythema multiforme, Stevens Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis);\u003cbr\u003e • reduction in kidney function (acute renal failure);\u003cbr\u003e • inflammation of the kidneys (interstitial nephritis);\u003cbr\u003e • blood in the urine (hematuria); \u003cbr\u003e• cessation or reduction in urine production (anuria);\u003cbr\u003e • serious condition which can make the blood more acidic (called metabolic acidosis), in patients with a serious illness who use paracetamol (see section 2).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Very rare cases of serious skin reactions have been reported.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eReporting of side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
