{"product_id":"benadon-10-cpr-gastrores-300-mg-1","title":"BENADON 300 MG GASTRO-RESISTANT TABLETS 10 TABLETS","description":"\u003cb\u003eName\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eBenadon 300 mg gastro-resistant tablets\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Vitamin B6\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat it is and what it is used for\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Benadon contains pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6).\u003cbr\u003e Benadon belongs to the category of vitamin drugs.\u003cbr\u003e Benadon is indicated in the following cases: \u003cbr\u003e• therapy and prevention of vitamin B6 deficiencies (malnutrition, alcoholism, etc.);\u003cbr\u003e • therapy of vitamin B6-sensitive anemias;\u003cbr\u003e • treatment and prevention of nerve inflammation (neuritis) in case of therapy with isoniazid (drug for tuberculosis), hydralazine (antihypertensive, drug for arterial hypertension), penicillamine (drug for rheumatoid arthritis), cycloserine (an antibiotic);\u003cbr\u003e • adjuvant therapy during radiotherapy.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eDo not take Benadon\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e • if you are allergic to pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);\u003cbr\u003e • if you are pregnant or breastfeeding;\u003cbr\u003e • if you are under 12 years of age;\u003cbr\u003e • if you suffer from renal or hepatic insufficiency (reduced kidney or liver function).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e \u003cbr\u003eTalk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Benadon.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Do not take Benadon in doses higher than recommended, nor for longer periods. At daily doses of 300 mg (1 tablet) or more, vitamin B6 should not be taken for more than 5 months. After 5 months of treatment, a break of at least 25 days is necessary.\u003cbr\u003e Failure to follow these recommendations may result in serious neurotoxicity (risk of overdose, see “If you take more Benadon than you should”).\u003cbr\u003e Be particularly careful if you suffer from Parkinson's disease and are being treated with L-dopa at the same time, as high doses of vitamin B6 may antagonise its effects (see “Other medicines and Benadon”).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eChildren and adolescents\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e This medicine should not be taken by children and adolescents under 12 years of age.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eThe following side effects have been observed in association with the use of Benadon, which derive from spontaneous reports. Since these reactions are reported voluntarily, it is not possible to estimate their frequency.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eEffects on the gastrointestinal system\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - nausea,\u003cbr\u003e - vomit.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eEffects on the immune system\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - allergic reactions (in predisposed subjects).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eEffects on the nervous system\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - peripheral neuropathy (disease affecting peripheral nerves) and polyneuropathy (disease affecting multiple peripheral nerves at the same time),\u003cbr\u003e - paresthesia (altered sensation in the limbs or other parts of the body, for example tingling).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eEffects on the skin\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e - photosensitivity reactions (allergic skin reactions to sunlight, such as sunburn),\u003cbr\u003e - skin rash,\u003cbr\u003e - itching,\u003cbr\u003e - hives (itching and small spots on the skin),\u003cbr\u003e - bullous dermatitis.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eReporting of side effects\u003c\/b\u003e \u003cbr\u003eIf you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
