Class I medical device.
Mandibular advancement device for the treatment of snoring and apnea. It pushes the lower jaw forward a few millimeters, unlocking the back of the tongue and thus facilitating the passage of inspired air.

How to use
1. Place the thermometer in a saucepan filled to about 7-8 cm with cold water and bring the water to temperature. Turn off the heat source when the green center of the thermometer turns red (optimal temperature). Leave the upper bite in hot water for 3 minutes. Do not leave the bite in boiling water. Make sure not to let more than 10-15 seconds pass between removing the bite from the saucepan and taking the impression.
2. Stand in front of a mirror. Remove the bite from the warm water using a spoon and shake it to remove the water. Insert the bite by aligning the black vertical line between the two upper central incisors. Make sure to align the bite with the entire set of teeth, bite down firmly and press the front side of the bite against the sides of the teeth with your fingers. Release the pressure on the teeth and rinse your mouth with cold water. Let it cool in your mouth for 2 minutes.
3. Repeat the same operation as in point 1 for the lower part. Observe the following instructions: hold the upper bite in your mouth and align the black line of the lower bite with that of the upper bite.
4. Remove the tape marked +6 with a utility knife or scissors. Keep the other tapes.
5. Attach the elastic band to the buttons of the upper bite. The brand must be visible from the outside. Finally, attach the band to the buttons of the lower bite.

During the first few nights, the user must get used to wearing the device and therefore it is recommended to use the tape marked +6. This figure represents the advancement in mm of the lower jaw in relation to the normal position assumed without the device. Depending on the different dental morphology, the actual value of the advancement may vary. After a few nights of adaptation, adjust the device according to these recommendations:
- if the jaw traction is too strong and uncomfortable, use a lower value tape (for example +4.5 instead of +6);
- if snoring still does not decrease sufficiently, use a higher value tape (for example +7.5 instead of +6). In general, an advancement from 4.5 mm to 7.5 mm is sufficient.

The comfort and hold of the bites depend on the shape of the teeth, the number of teeth and the quality of the impression. Check that the shape of your teeth is well impressed in the bite; if not, repeat the impression taking, carefully respecting the temperature and applying enough force to shape the device. If there are unwanted parts of thermoformed material left on the bite, it will be possible to cut them off.

Maintenance
In the morning, remove the bite, brush it with a toothbrush and leave it all day in a container of warm water in which half a tablet of denture cleaning solution has been poured. Before reapplying the bite to your mouth for the night, rinse with cold running water.
The useful life of the bite depends on the maintenance of the appliance, the acidity in the mouth and the clenching of the teeth (bruxism).

Warnings
A preliminary medical examination and regular check-ups of the teeth and jaw are recommended. If you have any doubts about the health of your teeth, it is advisable to consult your dentist.
If you experience daytime fatigue, you may be suffering from sleep apnea; in this case, it is recommended to definitely consult your doctor for a complete check-up.
Do not leave the bite or its components within the reach of children.
Check the condition of the bite regularly. The bite must be replaced if there are cracks, fissures or significant degradation of the material.
The effectiveness of the device depends on the user's anatomy.
In case of sleep apnea, a check-up by a specialist doctor is recommended.
Possible side effects:
- tooth sensitivity;
- pain in the front of the ear: with regular use of the device the symptom usually eases within a few days or worsens (in the latter case, use a longer advancement tape or consult a doctor);
- hypersalivation which tends to reduce after a few days of regular use, dry mouth, possible sensation of nausea observed very rarely (destined to disappear within a short time);
- modification of the dental occlusion area (the relative position of the upper and lower jaws with the mouth closed). If the jaw does not return to its original position after wearing the device, it is recommended to stop using it.
If any unpleasant side effects persist, remove the appliance and consult a dentist.
In case of serious problems, contact the manufacturer or the competent authority.
