BRONCOSITOL
Description
Sterile, preservative-free single-dose solution for nebulization for aerosol administration.
Inositol is a polyol known for being an important osmolyte. Indeed, it possesses a remarkable ability to bind and retain significant amounts of water, especially in the tissues of the respiratory tract. This lubricating and emollient effect is useful in alleviating inflammation-related symptoms such as difficulty swallowing, a foreign body sensation in the throat, tickling, and dryness. Inositol lowers the surface tension of pulmonary surfactant, improving gas exchange in the bronchial alveoli.
Ingredients
Each 3 ml vial contains: myo-inositol, purified water, sodium chloride.
How to use
We recommend 1 3 ml vial or, according to medical advice, up to a maximum of 3 vials per day.
Broncositol nebulization solution is supplied in vials with a safety pre-break.
To open the vial:
1. hold the vial so that the tip is pointing upwards
2. Apply gentle pressure, bend and break the vial at the neck.
Nebulize the contents of a vial using an aerosol therapy device.
It is recommended to use devices equipped with a compressor capable of guaranteeing a high output flow capacity (indicative value of at least 0.40 ml/minute).
Do not use ultrasonic devices.
Warnings
Do not use the device after the expiry date shown on the package.
Do not use the device if the packaging is open or damaged.
Do not sterilize again.
The device is intended for single use only.
Do not freeze.
Once the vial is opened, the product must be used immediately.
Smoking compromises the protective effect of myo-inositol on bronchial and alveolar function.
It is recommended to use Broncositol after consulting your doctor.
Keep out of reach of children. There are currently no known interactions between Broncositol and any concomitant medications. However, it is advisable to consult your doctor before using the product in combination with other medical devices and medications.
There are currently no known contraindications to the use of Broncositol, nor have any side effects been reported. However, use of these products, especially if prolonged, may cause sensitization. If this occurs, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to initiate appropriate therapy.
If you experience any side effects not listed in the package leaflet, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.
The product should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Conservation
Store between 4° and 25° C.
The expiry date is indicated on the package.
Do not use after the expiration date printed on the package or if the package is opened or damaged. The expiration date refers to the product in its intact packaging, stored properly.
