What it is and what it is used for
BRUNAC contains the active substance acetylcysteine.
This medicine is indicated for the treatment of:
- corneal ulcers;
- keratopathies of different etiology;
- corneal diseases, caused by altered tear secretion.
Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a few days.
What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use BRUNAC
- if you are allergic to acetylcysteine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using BRUNAC.
The unpleasant (sulphurous) odour, which you may notice when opening the bottle, is a characteristic of the active ingredient and does not indicate an alteration of the medicine.
Children and adolescents
The use of this medicine is not intended for children, except in cases of absolute necessity and under the strict supervision of a doctor.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The following side effect may occur:
Frequency not known (the frequency of which cannot be estimated from the available data)
- temporary, reversible eye irritation.
