Description
Simple and effective system for collecting urine samples from cats.
Catrine Pearl Litter does not absorb urine unlike regular cat litter.
How to use
Empty the regular sand from the cat litter box and wash it thoroughly, rinsing with plenty of warm water to eliminate all residues.
Dry the litter box and pour Catrine Litter Pearls into it, using the entire package. Replace the litter box in its position.
When the cat urinates in the litter box, the sample should be collected as follows:
1. Tilt the litter box and insert the tip of the pipette into the urine (the tip of the pipette should touch the bottom of the litter box).
2. Suck up as much liquid as possible and transfer it to the plastic test tube. Close the test tube and write down the cat's information (e.g. name, date of birth, and owner's name).
Urine should be collected and taken to the veterinarian as soon as possible (if the cat has defecated before urinating, the feces should be removed immediately to avoid contaminating the urine).
If it is not possible to deliver it to the vet immediately, the sample should be stored in the refrigerator – but for as short a time as possible.
