How to use the Clearblue Rapid Detection Pregnancy Test
1. Before you start
Always read the package leaflet carefully before taking a pregnancy test.
When you are ready to test, remove the pregnancy test stick from the foil pouch and remove the blue cap. Use the test immediately.
2. Test execution
Simply hold the color-changing absorbent tip down into your urine stream or a sample of your urine collected in a clean, dry container for just 5 seconds.
The color-changing tip will immediately turn pink to show that urine is being absorbed. Continue to hold the color-changing tip in the urine for a full 5 seconds.
IMPORTANT
While waiting for the result, keep the color-changing tip facing down or lay the stick flat.
3. Wait 3 minutes
When the pregnancy test starts working, you will see that blue lines will start to appear.
4. How to read the results
You can read the result in the result window.
When you read the result, there should be a blue line in the control window. This line shows that the test worked.
The “Pregnant” result can appear even within 1 minute if you take the test from the first day of your missed period (i.e. the day after your expected period).
To confirm a “Not Pregnant” result, or when you test before you notice that you have missed a period, you must wait a full 3 minutes.
If no blue line appears in the control window within 10 minutes, the test has failed.
It doesn't matter if one of the lines forming the “+” symbol is lighter or darker than the other; the result is “Pregnant”.
Read your result within 10 minutes of taking the test. Ignore any changes in your result after this time.
