THERMO GREEN Plus
ECOLOGICAL THERMOMETER AT GALINSTAN
Description
CE Class I Medical Device.
Galinstan thermometer, an alloy of tin, gallium, and indium. Non-toxic. Shockproof case with a shock absorber for the measuring column. Practical, precise, and reliable. Fully disinfectable and waterproof. Tested to ensure accuracy and tolerance of measurement limits.
Minimum measuring range: from 35.5°C to 42.0°C
Solution: 0.1°C
Operating conditions: temperature from -15°C to 42°C
How to use
Before taking a temperature, check that the liquid column indicates a reading below 36°C. Clean the glass thermometer before and after use. Follow the cleaning instructions. Place the thermometer on the body, depending on the desired measurement type (axillary, rectal, or oral). After approximately 4 minutes, the thermometer will detect body temperature. The measuring liquid in the thermometer's capillary indicates the body temperature measured on the temperature scale. Reading the temperature can be made easier by slightly rotating the thermometer. After taking the measurement, the indicator liquid must be brought back below 36°C. To do this, grasp the upper end of the thermometer with your index finger and thumb and shake it with approximately 15-20 rapid wrist movements.
Always disinfect the thermometer before and after use. In hospitals, always have disinfection performed by trained personnel.
Oral measurement: The average normal temperature is 37°C. It provides quick, accurate results. The thermometer bulb is placed under the tongue on the left or right side.
Rectal measurement: The average normal temperature is 37.6°C. This type of measurement is mainly used for children. The thermometer bulb is inserted into the anus (about 2 cm), with a skin cream or baby oil applied to the tip. A protective cover may be used to protect the thermometer. Insert the thermometer into this cover. Spread a water-soluble gel on the cover to facilitate insertion. Do not use Vaseline. Do not insert the thermometer tip more than 2 cm into the rectum. Stop the insertion if you encounter any resistance.
Axillary measurement: The average normal temperature is 36.7°C. The axillary method of measurement does not provide as accurate results as oral or rectal measurement. Rub the hollow of your armpit with a dry cloth. Place the bulb of the thermometer in the hollow of your armpit and press your arm against your torso.
Easy flip: With the Easy flip, you can easily reset the thermometer's measured liquid to zero by shaking it less vigorously: insert the thermometer into the Easy flip; make sure the thermometer is securely fastened in the two supports; hold the Easy flip firmly on the lever between your thumb and forefinger; shake the thermometer back and forth with short, strong movements until the liquid returns to below 36°C.
Cleaning and disinfection
The thermometer has a hygienic, airtight glass casing and can be disinfected without restrictions. The temperature of the cleaning and disinfecting solution must not exceed 42°C. The glass thermometer can be cleaned before and after use with cold, soapy water. Disinfect the thermometer with a cotton swab or cloth soaked in alcohol, or immerse the thermometer in a disinfectant solution (soaking time depends on the disinfectant manufacturer's instructions). If the thermometer breaks, the leaked liquid can be collected and removed with a brush, cellulose cloth, or cloth dampened with soapy water. Residues can be disposed of in household waste.
Warnings
Do not drop the thermometer or subject it to impact. Do not bend or bite the thermometer tip. Keep out of reach of children. Thermometers with damaged glass coatings should no longer be used due to the risk of injury. Children must always be supervised by an adult during use. The Galinstano measuring liquid must not come into contact with noble or light metals due to the risk of a reaction. During measurement, take extreme care to avoid any risk of injury. Using the thermometer does not replace a medical consultation. Persistent fever, especially in children, requires medical attention.
Conservation
Store at temperatures between -15°C and +42°C, in a dry place.
