The gel should therefore be used with caution by patients with reduced renal function, reduced cardiac function or reduced liver function, as well as by patients with active peptic ulcer of the stomach or duodenum.\u003cbr\u003e • Apply Diclofenac EG STADA Italia only to intact, healthy skin that is free of wounds. Avoid contact of the gel with the eyes or mucous membranes. The gel must not be swallowed.\u003cbr\u003e • After applying the gel to the skin, a permeable (non-occlusive) bandage can be used.\u003cbr\u003e However, you should let the gel dry on the skin for a few minutes. Do not use an occlusive dressing that does not allow air to pass through. \u003cbr\u003e• If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 3-5 days of treatment, consult a doctor.\u003cbr\u003e • If you suffer from asthma, hay fever, swelling of the nasal mucosa (so-called nasal polyps) or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic respiratory infections (particularly associated with hay fever-like symptoms) and are hypersensitive to other painkillers and antirheumatic drugs of any kind, you are at higher risk of developing asthma attacks (so-called analgesic intolerance\/analgesic asthma), local swelling of the skin or mucous membranes (so-called Quincke's oedema) or urticaria - than other patients. In this case Diclofenac EG STADA Italia should only be used taking certain precautions (preparation of emergency measures) and under direct medical supervision. The same applies to patients who are also allergic to other substances and experience for example skin reactions, itching or urticaria. \u003cbr\u003e• Treatment with Diclofenac EG STADA Italia should be stopped if a skin rash develops.\u003cbr\u003e • If you are exposed to direct sunlight or artificial sunlight, there is a risk of skin reactions.
