CE medical device, class I. Dilagent offers effective and targeted training for the muscles of the anorectal tract, promoting their functional recovery.
Soft silicone anal dilator indicated for the treatment of anorectal conditions caused by sphincter hypertonicity, such as anal fissures, hemorrhoids, and painful spasms following anorectal surgery. It is also effective for post-surgical anal stenosis.
Anal fissures and all other anal pain conditions (symptomatic hemorrhoids with hypertonicity, hemorrhoidal thrombosis, post-surgical pain, and anal spasms) are usually associated with hypertonicity of the internal anal sphincter. The "mushroom" shape of the probe allows the dilator to be anchored above the puborectalis muscle, releasing heat not only to the internal sphincter but also to the puborectalis muscle itself and the distal rectal muscles. This important function of the Dilagent causes muscle relaxation, which has a healing effect in the aforementioned conditions.
Furthermore, puborectalis muscle contracture (puborectalis sling) is considered one of the main mechanisms for maintaining fecal continence. During defecation, relaxation of the anal sphincters and puborectalis sling allows the anal canal-rectum tract to straighten, thus facilitating evacuation. If, on the other hand, a paradoxical contraction of the puborectalis muscle occurs during defecation, the anorectal angle becomes more acute due to increased muscle tension, thus preventing emptying of the rectal ampulla (anismus).
The Dilagent probe promotes relaxation of the puborectalis muscle thanks to the direct transmission of heat, thus proving effective in the treatment of anismus.

How to use
Before treatment, it is advisable to take a sitz bath with warm water and Sapigen K for 5-8 minutes to relax the perianal muscles. Once the air has been removed from the probe using the provided syringe, lubricate the dilator generously with Dilatan Cream and gently insert it into the anus until the handle touches the anal margin. For the first 2-3 days, inject 10-20 ml of warm water into the probe (40-45°C). As treatment progresses, increase the amount of warm water up to a maximum of 50 ml. Larger amounts may cause a constant and uncomfortable urge to defecate. The length of the dilator allows for easy and independent defecation.
Treatment should be continued for 3-4 weeks.
After each use, wash the probe with water and mild soap. Dry with a soft cloth before storing. This product is for personal use only.
