DUOCAL

Powdered supplement consisting of a mixture of carbohydrates and fats with a high content of medium chain triglycerides (MCT). Dietary food intended for special medical purposes.
It can be used as a supplement in the dietary management of conditions requiring supplemental energy from a combined carbohydrate and fat source, where there is malabsorption of fat or where absorption of LCTs is incomplete. Duocal can be used to increase the energy intake of a wide variety of foods and drinks, as an energy supplement in tube or oral feeding, or can be mixed with water to obtain a tasteless, energy-dense, low-electrolyte liquid.

Blend of carbohydrates and fats high in medium-chain triglycerides (MCT).

How to use
To obtain a Duocal solution, mix the powder with a small amount of the prescribed water and then add the remaining water, stirring vigorously with a fork. The amount of Duocal must be established exclusively by the doctor or dietician and depends on the age, body weight and clinical condition of the patient. Duocal will be introduced gradually over a period of days in relation to the patient's tolerance.

Warnings
For use only under medical supervision. Do not use as the sole source of nutrition. Do not use parenterally. Close the container tightly after use.

Conservation
Store in a dry place away from heat sources. Once opened, consume within 1 month.
