Its balance can be damaged by intestinal infections, intoxications, eating disorders, changes in diet, use of antibiotics. Contact your doctor if you do not notice improvements or if you notice a worsening of symptoms after a short period of treatment.\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003eCaution: Use only for short periods of treatment in the absence of a different medical prescription.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eDo not take Enterogermina\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e • if you are allergic to spores of polyantibiotic-resistant \u003cem\u003eBacillus clausii\u003c\/em\u003e or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Enterogermina.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e • if your doctor has told you that your immune system may be weakened (reduction of the body's natural defences) (see section 4).\u003cbr\u003e • before giving Enterogermina to a preterm infant.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e This medicine is for oral use only. Do not inject or administer by any other route. Incorrect use of the medicine has caused serious anaphylactic reactions such as anaphylactic shock.\u003cbr\u003e During antibiotic therapy, take Enterogermina in between antibiotic administrations.\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003eIf you observe the presence of corpuscles, i.e. tiny particles in the vials of Enterogermina, this does not mean that the medicine is altered, but rather that they are simply aggregates of \u003cem\u003eBacillus clausii\u003c\/em\u003e spores.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eContact your doctor immediately if you notice any of the following serious side effects:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Localized and mostly temporary (hours or days) swelling of the skin or mucous membranes, accompanied or not by itching (angioedema). When it is localized to the face, lips and throat it can make swallowing and breathing difficult.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eOther side effects include:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Frequency not known (the frequency of side effects cannot be estimated from the available data):\u003cbr\u003e • allergic reactions (hypersensitivity), including skin redness and hives; \u003cbr\u003e• in case of reduced body defence mechanisms or severe illness and if you are taking Enterogermina, \u003cem\u003eBacillus clausii\u003c\/em\u003e can be found in the blood and may lead to a serious blood infection (see section 2).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eReporting of side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
