Cover the entire wound bed with a sufficiently thick layer (e.g. 4-5 mm) of Flaminal hydro or, in case of wounds with moderate or high exudation, with Flaminal forte.\u003cbr\u003e Flaminal (hydro or forte) can be applied in the following ways, for example directly from the tube, directly onto the dressing, with a spatula, with a nozzle or with a syringe.\u003cbr\u003e 3. Cover Flaminal (hydro or forte) with a dressing. The choice of dressing should be based on the type of wound.\u003cbr\u003e Lightly or moderately exuding wound: clear film (polyurethane) or non-adherent dressing secured by a non-adherent bandage, e.g. paraffin gauze.\u003cbr\u003e Moderately to heavily exuding: Non-adherent absorbent dressing secured with a non-adherent bandage or hypoallergenic tape.\u003cbr\u003e 4. Check the dressing every day. \u003cbr\u003eThe Flaminal dressing (Hydro or Forte) can remain in place as long as the gel structure is intact (1 to 4 days, depending on the amount of exudate).\u003cbr\u003e In case of leakage or insufficient gel, it is necessary to change Flaminal (Hydro and Forte) and apply a new dressing.\u003cbr\u003e 5. At each dressing change\/wound cleaning:\u003cbr\u003e • clean the wound and surrounding area thoroughly;\u003cbr\u003e • Remove all whitish alginate flakes from the wound, leaving only those at the wound edge. The flakes prevent the wound edge from weakening and maceration (softening and breakdown of the skin due to prolonged exposure to moisture).
