Description
Ear drops whose action is based on the osmotic properties of glycerol.
The main component is glycerol.
The glycerol used in ear drops has two main characteristics: its oily consistency allows it to adhere delicately to the skin at the application site and is responsible for its protective properties, and its hygroscopicity, when administered topically, allows the removal of water retained in the tissues (osmotic effect), reducing swelling and therefore relieving pain.
The glycerol contained in the medical device softens earwax, facilitates its expulsion and, due to its ability to absorb water, removes excess fluid (osmotic effect) from the tissues of the ear canal, promoting the elimination of discomfort that occurs in conditions of inflammation such as pain and swelling in the ear.
Glycerol has a causative effect. Lidocaine is an adjuvant used as a local anesthetic, which intensifies the action of glycerol and also relieves ear pain.
Cerumina Dol is helpful in the following cases: inflammatory conditions characterized by swelling, pain, and itching of the external auditory canal; painful conditions caused by regular exposure to water and humidity, such as swimming; painful conditions caused by prolonged use of headphones or by earwax blocking the external auditory canal; painful conditions caused by frequent use of detergents that destroy the natural membrane that protects the external auditory canal, such as shampoos, soaps, and gels.
How to use
Wash your hands and unscrew the bottle cap.
Tilt your head or lie on your side so that the treated ear is facing upwards.
Gently pull your earlobe (bottom part of your ear canal) away from your neck.
Turn the bottle upside down without the cap and press on both sides, dispensing 2 drops of product into the ear.
Keep your head tilted for a few minutes so that the drops can flow into your ear canal.
Remove excess liquid with a clean tissue.
After application, it is recommended to close the external auditory canal with a cotton ball.
Replace the cap.
Adults and children over 12 years: 2 drops in each ear up to three times daily. If you notice no improvement after 3 days or if your symptoms worsen, consult your doctor.
Children over 6 months: 2 drops in each ear up to three times a day.
Warnings
For external use only.
Avoid contact with mucous membranes of the eyes, mouth, throat and nose.
Indicated for temporary relief of ear pain, do not use for more than 3 days or continuously.
Use only under the supervision of an adult or doctor.
If after 3 days you notice no improvement or you feel worse, consult your pediatrician.
If used on children, it is necessary to protect the ear with cotton wool.
It cannot be used in children under 6 months of age.

The course of treatment must be monitored by a doctor.
Conservation
Store in a dry place away from direct heat sources, at room temperature.
Shelf life when packaging is intact: 36 months.
