The administration of exogenous hyaluronic acid sodium salt into the peritendinous space, thanks to its viscoelastic properties, reduces surface friction of the tendons, increases sliding capacity, reduces pain, and improves tendon function in tendinopathy, thus accelerating the return to normal activities and sports.
