What it is and what it is used for
Iridina Light is a disinfectant.
Iridina Light eye drops, solution is used for disinfection of the ocular mucosa. It is an adjuvant in the treatment of eyes irritated by dust and smoke.
Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short time of treatment.
What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use Iridina Light
- if you are allergic to benzalkonium chloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
- if you are allergic to other substances closely related chemically to benzalkonium chloride:
Consult your doctor even if these disorders have occurred in the past.
Warnings and precautions
Do not use the medicine in prolonged treatments. Consult your doctor if after a short period of time there are no appreciable results.
The use, especially prolonged, of products for local use (topical) can give rise to sensitization phenomena. In this case, stop the treatment and consult your doctor to establish a suitable therapy
. The product is for external use only.
Do not use Iridina Light if you have corneal problems (inflammation, wounds or corneal abrasions).
Accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants can have serious, sometimes fatal, consequences. If you accidentally ingest the product, seek medical attention immediately.
Children
In children under 12 years of age, Iridina Light should be used only after consulting your doctor and evaluating the risk/benefit ratio in your case with him.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
In some cases, intolerance (burning or irritation) may occur, but this does not have any consequences and does not require changes to the treatment.
Following the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
These side effects are usually transitory. However, when they occur, it is advisable to consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Reporting of side effects
