Characteristics
Based on linseed oil (naturally rich in omega-3), bamboo fibre (with a high insoluble fraction), FOS (oligofructosaccharides) and arabinogalactans (prebiotic soluble fibre).
Contains lactose.
Property
- Arabinogalactans: soluble fiber that is not absorbed in the small intestine and reaches the large intestine where it is completely digested by lactobacilli. These prebiotic substances can promote the growth of beneficial intestinal bacteria, such as lactobacilli and bifidobacteria, while simultaneously decreasing the presence of potentially harmful bacteria, such as enteric bacteria.
- FOS (oligofructosaccharides): They reduce fecal pH, cholesterol, and triglycerides in the blood. They reduce the absorption of carbohydrates and lipids by normalizing the glycemic index and lipid levels through decreased hepatic lithography. They are useful as a balancing agent, to regulate intestinal transit, and as a protective agent, to reduce the risk of colon cancer.
- Bamboo fiber: a dietary fiber with a high cellulose content. It binds and retains a large amount of water, resulting in increased stool weight, increased intestinal transit speed, and increased intraluminal pressure in the colon. It decreases the absorption of fats and bile salts, which remain trapped in the fibrous network, as well as the absorption of carcinogens, benefiting diverticular disease and ulcerative colitis.
- Flaxseed: high in mucilage; useful adjuvant in preventing constipation.
