If you are allergic to peanuts or soya, do not use this medicine.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWarnings and precautions\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if:\u003cbr\u003e - You are pregnant or breast-feeding (see section “Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility”). \u003cbr\u003e- You are using a latex “barrier” method of contraception (see section “Other medicines and Lomexin”). Therefore, you should use alternative precautions when using this product.\u003cbr\u003e - You are using spermicides, vaginal douches or other vaginal products (see section “Other medicines and Lomexin”).\u003cbr\u003e - Experience any irritation or sensitivity to the medicine.\u003cbr\u003e - Your symptoms do not improve within a week or if your symptoms are severe or recurrent.\u003cbr\u003e - His partner is also infected.\u003cbr\u003e - Have had more than two previous infections in the last 6 months.\u003cbr\u003e - You or your partner have ever had a sexually transmitted disease.\u003cbr\u003e - Have you ever had hypersensitivity to imidazoles or other vaginal antifungal products.\u003cbr\u003e - He is over 60 years old.\u003cbr\u003e - Have any of the following symptoms:\u003cbr\u003e • Abnormal or irregular vaginal bleeding.\u003cbr\u003e • Trace of blood from a vaginal discharge.\u003cbr\u003e • Sores, ulcers, or blisters of the vulva or vagina. \u003cbr\u003e• Lower abdominal pain or difficulty urinating (dysuria).\u003cbr\u003e • Adverse effects such as redness, itching or rash associated with treatment.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Lomexin vaginal cream: contact with eyes should be avoided.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eChildren and adolescents\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Lomexin is not recommended in children under 16 years of age.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003ePossible side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e When the medicine is inserted into the vagina, a slight burning sensation may occur, which will disappear quickly. When used as recommended, Lomexin is only slightly absorbed and no side effects involving the entire body (systemic effects) are reported.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The use of topical medicines, especially if prolonged, can cause sensitization (see the paragraph “Warnings and precautions”).\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eThe following side effects have been reported with Lomexin:\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eVery rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people):\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e • vulvovaginal burning sensation\u003cbr\u003e • redness of the skin (erythema), itching and skin rash.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eFrequency not known:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e • hypersensitivity at the application site.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eReporting of side effects\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
