The gel can be applied directly to the wounds, or spread over a sterile gauze for a moisturizing effect, or over a polyurethane or semi-occlusive dressing as a cleanser. In this case, it can be left in place for 24 to 72 hours. SOFARGEN Repair is also a valid substitute for the more commonly used hydrogels.\u003cbr\u003e The gel should be applied continuously once or twice daily, as long as there is no risk of infection and until complete healing, both in spontaneous and surgical repairs.
