Wrist blood pressure monitor
Description
CE Medical Device (EU Directive 93/42/EEC) Class IIa.
Wrist blood pressure monitor with IHB technology for early detection of arrhythmias. It detects irregular heartbeats and features 30 memory locations for recording measurements. The accuracy of this blood pressure monitor has been clinically tested according to the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) protocol and in compliance with ISO 81060-2:2013. Its pocket-sized format is ideal for those who need to measure blood pressure while traveling, at work, or on the go.
This device is an oscillometric blood pressure monitor intended for noninvasive measurement of radial arterial (wrist) blood pressure. It is intended for use by adults (12 years and older) for self-measurement and for use on others in a domestic setting (e.g., home use).

Standards: EN 1060-1/-3/-4; IEC 60601-1; IEC 60601-1-2 (EMC); IEC60601-1-11
Product life expectancy: Device 5 years or 10,000 measurements; accessories 2 years or 5,000 measurements
How to use
1. Avoid exercising, eating or smoking immediately before measuring.
2. Sit in a chair with a backrest and relax for 5 minutes before measuring. Keep your feet flat on the floor and do not cross your legs.
3. Always take the measurement on the same wrist (usually the left). It's recommended that your doctor take a double measurement on both arms at the first visit to determine where to measure your blood pressure next. Take the measurement on the arm with the higher blood pressure.
4. Remove clothing and objects such as your watch to free your wrist.
5. Wrap the cuff about 0.5–1 cm above your hand. Tighten the cuff, but not too tightly. The cuff fits a wrist circumference of 13.5–21.5 cm.
6. Press the On/Off button to start measurement.
7. The cuff will inflate automatically. Rest your arm relaxed and make sure the device is at the same height as your heart. Stay relaxed, do not move, and relax your arm muscles until the measurement results appear. Breathe normally and do not speak.
The cuff placement indicator shows that the cuff is positioned correctly. If the "Improper cuff placement" symbol appears, it means that the cuff is not positioned optimally, but measurement is possible.
8. When the correct inflation pressure is reached, the device stops and the pressure gradually decreases. If the required pressure is not reached, the device will automatically inflate the cuff as needed.
9. During measurement, the pulse indicator flashes on the display.
10. Once the measurement is complete, the systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and heart rate values are displayed. See the explanations for the other displays in the manual.
11. Once the measurement is complete, remove the cuff.
12. Turn off the device. The display turns off automatically after about 1 minute.
If the IHB irregular heartbeat symbol appears, it indicates that an irregular heartbeat has been detected. The blood pressure readings may deviate from the usual values. Repeating the measurement is recommended. If the symbol appears repeatedly: The device is an oscillometric blood pressure monitor that also detects the heartbeat during blood pressure measurement and warns you if the heart rate is irregular.
The device automatically stores the values of the last 30 measurements.
It is recommended to check the accuracy of this device every 2 years or after mechanical impact. Contact your local Microlife customer service to perform the test.
Cleaning and disinfection
Clean the device only with a soft, dry cloth. Carefully remove any dirt from the cuff with a cloth dampened with soap and water.
Do not wash the bracelet in the washing machine or dishwasher. Do not tumble dry the bracelet lining. Under no circumstances should you wash the bracelet inner tube.
Warnings
Follow the instructions for use. Please read them carefully before using the device. The device must be used only as described in the manual. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for damage caused by improper use. This device is made of delicate components and must be treated with care. Observe the storage and operating conditions described in the "Technical Specifications" chapter. The cuffs are delicate and must be handled with care. Inflate the cuff only after putting it on. Do not use the device if you think it is damaged or if you notice anything unusual. Never open the device. The measurement obtained with this device is not a diagnosis. It does not replace a consultation with your doctor, especially if the result does not match your symptoms. Do not rely on the measurement alone; always consider other symptoms that may appear and the patient's general condition. If necessary, call a doctor or an ambulance. Ensure that children do not use the device without adult supervision. Some parts are small and could be swallowed. Be aware of the risk of strangulation when using cables or tubes.
The device is intended only for measuring blood pressure at the wrist. Do not measure in other positions, as the reading does not accurately correspond to blood pressure. After measuring, loosen the cuff and rest for at least 5 minutes to restore blood flow to the limb before taking another measurement. Do not use the device simultaneously with other electromedical equipment. This may cause the device to malfunction or result in inaccurate measurements. Do not use the device near high-frequency surgical equipment, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment, or computed tomography (CT) scanners. This may cause the device to malfunction and result in inaccurate measurements. Use and store the device, cuff, and its components within the temperature and humidity conditions specified in the "Technical Specifications." Using and storing the device, cuff, and its components outside the ranges specified in the "Technical Specifications" may cause the device to malfunction and compromise its safety. To avoid damaging your device and accessories, protect them from the following: water, other liquids, and moisture, extreme temperatures, shock and vibration, direct sunlight, contamination, and dust. The device has two user settings. Ensure it is cleaned and disinfected between users to prevent cross-contamination. If you experience skin irritation or discomfort, discontinue use of the device and bracelet and consult your doctor.
