Questo apparecchio utilizza il metodo oscillometrico per rilevare la pressione sanguigna.
Prima che il bracciale inizi a gonfiarsi, lo strumento stabilisce una pressione di base del bracciale, equivalente alla pressione dell'aria.
Questo apparecchio determinerà il livello di gonfiaggio appropriato, in base alle oscillazioni di pressione, seguito dallo sgonfiamento del bracciale.
In fase di sgonfiamento, l'apparecchio rileverà l'ampiezza e la pendenza delle oscillazioni di pressione, determinando quindi la pressione
sanguigna sistolica, la pressione diastolica e il battito.
