MONOFOLINT based on Folic Acid Quatrefolic
It is an innovative product, supported by clinical studies: 5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid (5-MTHF), the active metabolite of folate, guarantees better performance, compared to previous generations, in terms of stability and bioavailability, as it is salified with glucosamine, a molecule naturally present in our body.
MONOFOLINT is indicated, according to medical prescription, in case of reduced dietary intake or increased need for the component substances.
It contributes to normal protein synthesis, normal haematopoiesis and the correct activity of the immune system.
Prevents Neural Tube Defects in the fetus, starting to take it at least one month before planning the pregnancy.
Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate levels.
Low maternal folate levels are a risk factor for the development of fetal neural tube defects.
Folate also helps reduce symptoms of tiredness and fatigue and supports normal psychological balance.
Folate is also indicated in the control of hyperhomocysteinemia.
MONOFOLINT is recommended in the MTHFR mutation, a genetic defect of the methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase enzyme.
This aberration alters folate metabolism involved in numerous pathologies.
The amount of 5-MTHF taken in the active form supports the total utilization of the amount taken, promoting its complete use and avoiding accumulations of unwanted metabolites deriving from biochemical reactions during the physiological process of metabolizing folic acid.
