What it is and what it is used for
This medicine contains simethicone, an active substance that works by eliminating gas that forms in the stomach or intestines (meteorism).
MYLICON is used in children and infants who, due to meteorism caused, for example, by the tendency to swallow air (aerophagia), have swelling, abdominal pain, cramps, belching, flatulence.
Contact your doctor if your child does not feel better or if he or she feels worse after 7 days of treatment.
What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not take MYLICON
• if you are allergic to simethicone or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
Warnings and precautions
Contact your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days of treatment. If symptoms persist or worsen or if constipation continues for a long time, the patient should consult their doctor.
Do not use if intestinal perforation or ileus is suspected.
MYLICON is used in children and infants.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Tell your doctor if you notice the following side effects while using MYLICON:
• vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, ileus, nausea;
• skin rashes;
• swelling of the face, eyes, lips, tongue, throat with difficulty breathing (angioedema).
Such effects occur very rarely.
Reporting of side effects
If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet. You can also report side effects directly via the national reporting system at: https://www.aifa.gov.it/content/segnalazionireazioni-avverse .
