Folic acid plays a role in the process of cell division: as a cofactor in DNA formation, it comes into play every time a cell divides. This function is particularly important in rapidly regenerating tissues. Folate contributes to normal amino acid synthesis and maternal tissue growth during pregnancy, which allows for proper fetal development. Specifically, supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate levels. Folate helps reduce tiredness and fatigue, while also supporting the physiological formation and maturation of blood cells. Folic acid also supports normal immune system function and normal homocysteine metabolism. Homocysteine is a substance naturally present in the body, but its accumulation can cause various problems. Many studies suggest that elevated blood homocysteine concentrations are a potential cardiovascular risk factor. Folic acid, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12, together with a healthy lifestyle and a varied diet, contribute to normal homocysteine metabolism.
EXTRAfolate-S :
It is the calcium salt of (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid. It is an active form of folic acid that does not require any enzymatic transformation for absorption and has been shown to have greater stability and bioavailability. Folate taken during pregnancy contributes to maternal tissue growth. Folate also contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism.
Vitamin D3 :
It contributes to the normal absorption and utilization of calcium and phosphorus and is involved in the process of cell division. Nosifol-D contains 5 mcg of vitamin D3, equivalent to 100% of the recommended daily intake (RDA).
Zinc :
It is an essential component of a large number of enzymes, where it can act as a cofactor, constitute the catalytic site, or play a structural role. Zinc helps maintain healthy bones, skin, hair, and nails, as well as a properly functioning immune system. Zinc contributes to normal fertility and reproduction.
