Description
Calendula oil is obtained by cold macerating calendula flowers in vegetable oil in a 1:2 ratio, without the use of solvents. It is preservative-free, GMO-free, and non-irradiated. It has emollient, soothing, and protective properties. Also suitable for the delicate skin of children and infants, it restores the skin's physiological balance, making it more elastic and resistant to irritation, and regenerating it after sun exposure.
The fat-soluble extract obtained by infusing its flowers in oil has recognized anti-inflammatory, emollient, and healing properties. It is useful as a soothing agent for various skin conditions, including dry, chapped, red, and sensitive skin. It also has protective and stimulating properties and is excellent after sun exposure to counteract damage caused by UV rays.
It reduces itching. It has a mild vasoprotective effect on the microcirculation and stimulates blood flow. Its healing action, due to the presence of carotenoids, similar to protein A, accelerates epidermal turnover and promotes fibroblast activity, promoting collagen synthesis.
