Description
Gel for the prevention and adjuvant treatment of lesions caused by human papillomavirus (HPV).
- It creates a defensive barrier that prevents the risk of HPV integration and the formation of new lesions.
- Adjuvant in the re-epithelialization of existing lesions.
- Stimulates the regeneration of the vaginal microbiota.
Papilocare is indicated for:
- monitor and help re-epithelialize the cervical transformation zone to prevent the risk of lesions (LSIL) caused by HPV;
- adjuvant treatment of intraepithelial lesions caused by HPV;
- repair and help re-epithelialize lesions of the cervico-vaginal mucosa;
- treat dryness of the cervico-vaginal mucosa;
- rebalance the vaginal microbiota;
- improve vaginal health;
- create conditions for rapid healing of lesions caused by rubbing due to burning or itching;
- form a protective film that quickly reduces discomfort, creating the right conditions to promote the natural healing process.
The main components of the formulation are:
- substances that allow the formation of a mucoadhesive gel on the cervico-vaginal mucosa, creating a protective film on the same which promotes the barrier action of the product;
- hyaluronic acid niosomes, with a hydrating action on the tissues, which help preserve their elasticity;
- beta-glucan niosomes: thanks to their antioxidant properties, they maintain the natural structure and functionality of the skin and mucous membranes;
- Centella asiatica phytosomes, with a restorative action on damaged mucous membranes;
- Coriolus versicolor extract, with re-epithelializing and repairing action on cervico-vaginal lesions and micro-lesions;
- neem extract, with emollient properties that promote the natural healing process;
- BioEcolia, a prebiotic that stimulates the growth of beneficial bacterial flora and rebalances the microbiota in the cervico-vaginal area;
- aloe vera extract with hydrating, re-epithelializing and repairing action on the cervico-vaginal area.
The use of Papilocare is recommended for (adult) women who are positive for human papillomavirus (HPV), regardless of the presence of lesions caused by the virus (ASCUS or LSIL).

How to use
The treatment duration is 6 months, with the possibility of further extension based on the doctor's prescription. It is important to complete the entire treatment cycle to achieve the desired results.
It is recommended to start treatment after the menstrual cycle.
First month: apply one cannula per day for 21 consecutive days, then suspend treatment for the following 7 days.
Subsequent months (second to sixth): Apply one cannula every other day for 21 days.
Suspension of treatment with Papilocare during the menstrual cycle is recommended only for the convenience of patients; in fact, there are no clinical incompatibilities.
Apply preferably before going to sleep.
It is compatible with condom use.
Discard any open or broken cannula. The cannula is designed to facilitate administration of the product. Insert the cannula into the vagina and apply pressure to release its contents. Then remove the cannula from the vagina, maintaining pressure so that it does not reabsorb the dispensed product.
Some gel may remain inside the cannula; this does not mean that less than the recommended dose has been delivered, as the cannula releases enough gel to cover the cervico-vaginal mucosa (3 ml). Discard the cannula once used. Do not reuse a used cannula or share it with other patients.

Warnings
Keep out of reach of children.
If you are pregnant, consult your doctor.
Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to any of its components.
If you experience discomfort after application, discontinue use of the product and consult a doctor.
There are no data available on the use of Papilocare with contraceptives (e.g., vaginal rings or female condoms), so Papilocare is not recommended for women who are using these types of contraceptives. If you are pregnant, consult your doctor before using Papilocare and use it under strict medical supervision.

Conservation
Store between 2°C and 25°C.
Shelf life in intact packaging: 42 months.
