Description
Medical device for ophthalmic use based on dry perilla extract in combination with hyaluronic acid.
Sterile, antioxidant, hydrating and lubricating eye drops.
The dry extract of Perilla frutescens, thanks to the presence of polyphenols, has an antioxidant action that counteracts redness and irritation caused by oxidative stress due to unfavorable external factors, while hyaluronic acid, a highly biocompatible polymer, stabilizes and replenishes the aqueous layer of the tear film thanks to its lubricating and hydrating action.
The PERFLO DROPS formula is indicated for:
- relieve and counteract temporary sensations of discomfort in the eyes such as redness, dryness, sensation of foreign bodies caused by unfavorable atmospheric and environmental conditions (air conditioning, dry climate, heating systems, wind, pollution, dust, smoke, allergens);
- relieve eye strain caused by visual stress such as prolonged driving or studying, or from prolonged use of electronic devices (TV, smartphones, computers) and/or contact lenses, or from excessive exposure to light;
- relieve the occasional sensation of dry eye related to ongoing blepharitis, and promote the removal of any secretions;
- relieve allergic conjunctivitis and promote the removal of any secretions. PERFLO DROPS can be administered before and during contact lens wear to improve fit and comfort.
How to use
Instill 2-3 drops in each eye, 2-3 times a day or as directed by your doctor.
Components
Perilla dry extract (titrated in polyphenols >2.5%) 0.1%, hyaluronic acid sodium salt 0.25%, sodium chloride, anhydrous dibasic sodium phosphate, monobasic sodium phosphate monohydrate, purified water.
Without preservatives.
Warnings
The product is for ophthalmic use only. Once opened, the single-dose vial can be resealed with the appropriate cap, but the solution must be used within 12 hours. Do not use the product if the aluminum pouch is damaged or if the vials are not perfectly intact. Keep out of reach of children. Before opening the vial to administer the drops, it is advisable to thoroughly clean your hands. During instillation, do not touch your eye or any other surfaces with the dispensing tip of the vial. Do not use the product if you are known to be incompatible with even one component of the formulation. If necessary, check with your optician to ensure the compatibility of the eye drops with your contact lenses. If you experience any discomfort during use, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Any ophthalmic medications administered should be administered at least 15 minutes after instilling the eye drops, especially if they contain benzalkonium chloride or other quaternary ammonium salts, to avoid precipitation of hyaluronic acid. Concomitant administration of ophthalmic medications with eye drops should be done under the supervision of a physician who can assess potential interactions. Do not use the product after the expiration date indicated on the package. Do not dispose of the container in the environment after use.
Conservation
Store in a dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
Shelf life after opening: 24 months.
