Pursennid works by stimulating bowel movements within 6-12 hours. For this reason, it is best to take it in the evening.\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003eContact your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eWhat you need to know before taking the medicine\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eDo not take Pursennid\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e • if you are allergic to sennosides A+B or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);\u003cbr\u003e • if your doctor or pharmacist has told you not to take laxatives;\u003cbr\u003e • if you suffer from an inflammatory disease of the colon (for example Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis);\u003cbr\u003e • if you suffer from nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting or stomach cramps;\u003cbr\u003e • if you have a sharp, severe or persistent stomach ache or if your abdomen is tender to the touch and hurts when you move.
