REVAMIL BALM
Description
Cream for the treatment of superficial skin lesions and eczema. Revamil Balm is a base ointment to which pure honey has been added and is suitable for treating large areas of skin. The honey used in Revamil Balm contains a high content of enzymes, including glucose oxidase. In a moist environment, the glucose oxidase enzyme generates small amounts of hydrogen peroxide. Thanks to the high concentration of sugars present in honey, Revamil Balm interacts with wound secretions and forms a barrier with antiseptic and antibacterial properties. Revamil Balm contains no residues, preservatives, or other substances known to cause allergic reactions. The product is suitable for all ages.
Components
Arachis oleum, cera alba, glyceryl oleate, honey, water, Rosa oleum.
How to use
1. Unscrew the white cap from the tube.
2. Turn the cap upside down.
3. To open the tube, press the tip of the cap onto the opening of the tube.
4. Apply Revamil Balm to wounds and damaged skin.
5. If necessary, cover the wound with a bandage.
6. Apply the dressing 1-3 times a day to the affected area.
Warnings
Do not use the product if the patient has a known hypersensitivity to any of the ointment's ingredients (see ingredients). A high sensitivity to any of the ointment's ingredients may cause redness, irritation, and possibly mild pain.
- During the first few minutes after application, the product may cause a slight burning sensation. This burning sensation is likely caused by the low pH and high osmolarity of honey and has no effect on the product's effectiveness.
- If you experience unexpected side effects after use, contact your doctor or the manufacturer. Side effects may cause discomfort.
- Do not use if the tube is damaged, as this may lead to bacterial contamination of the product and wound infection. Given the antibacterial protection of honey, the likelihood of wound infection is considered very low.
- Always close the tube after use. An open tube could lead to bacterial contamination and wound infection. Given honey's antibacterial protection, the likelihood of wound infection is considered very low.
- The tube must not come into direct contact with the wound surface.
Direct contact between the wound/skin and the (open) tube could lead to bacterial contamination and wound infection. Given honey's antibacterial protection, the likelihood of wound infection is considered very low.
- Do not apply this product continuously for more than 30 days. Continued use for more than 30 days may cause discomfort, such as irritation and/or mild pain.
- Use the contents within 3 months of opening the tube. Prolonged use may result in reduced functionality and product contamination.
Given the antibacterial protection of honey, the likelihood of wound infection is considered very low.
- Do not treat multiple patients with the same tube, as this could lead to bacterial contamination and wound infection. Given the antibacterial protection of honey, the likelihood of wound infection is considered very low.
- Do not use the product after the expiration date as this may compromise the product's effectiveness and cause discomfort to the patient.
- Do not use sharp objects to open the tube as this may cause pieces of the sealing membrane to come off and cause problems when using the ointment.
Conservation
Store between 4°C and 30°C.
Shelf life when packaging is intact: 36 months.
