Description
Micronized nasal douche for aerosol therapy. It consists of a base featuring a button, a connection element for the connecting tube, and a base cap. The Rinowash nasal douche also features an internal chamber, an atomizer, and an external bell. To operate, Rinowash requires connection to a pneumatic aerosol device.
The Rinowash micronized nasal shower allows for the treatment of upper respiratory tract conditions and the physiological (with saline, hypertonic or thermal water) and/or therapeutic (with drugs) washing of the nasal cavities.
Rinowash produces a jet of micronized solution which, directed into the nasal cavities, promotes hydration, fluidification and removal of mucus and phlegm.
Rinowash guarantees highly effective inhalation therapy for patients of all ages, from small children to adults, and can be used both at home and in hospital settings.

How to use
Cleaning: Wash with hot water (about 40°C) using detergent (dosage according to the detergent manufacturer's instructions) and rinse under running water. Once all parts are clean, they can be dried with a soft cloth.
Disinfection: Immerse in a cold disinfectant solution (such as a solution with a sodium hypochlorite concentration no greater than 2%), following the manufacturer's instructions. All components can be disinfected by boiling them in water for up to 10 minutes: the components must not come into direct contact with the bottom of the pan.
Sterilization: all components are compatible with the autoclave sterilization cycle at 121°C for at least 15 min. (max 30 min.) for a maximum of 20 cycles.
To use Rinowash you must perform the following actions in the order indicated:
- pour the liquid (maximum 15 ml) into the container, checking that the liquid corresponds to the graduated scale;
- insert the atomizer onto the tank sleeve: a “click” will indicate that the final position has been reached;
- insert the external bell, rotating it slightly while closing it, so as to cover the sealing gasket;
- insert one end of the connecting tube into the appropriate Rinowash connector and the other end into the air intake of the appliance;
- turn on the appliance;
- bring Rinowash to the nose by placing the tip against one nostril;
- press the button on the base to obtain nebulization;
- the therapeutic liquid comes out of the hole in the external bell, while the residual liquid collects in the cavity between the external bell and the tray;
- During the rinse, breathe normally through your nose, keeping the opposite nostril covered with a finger. If necessary, blow through your nostril during the treatment to help expel the mucus. The expelled mucus collects in the collection chamber between the outer bell and the inner tray;
- alternate nostrils as needed;
- nebulization is very rapid and lasts only a few minutes;
- when the liquid contained in the device is used up or to temporarily interrupt the treatment, release the Rinowash activation button or turn off the device.
To avoid the risk of microbial contamination, the Rinowash micronized nasal douche must be cleaned, disinfected and, if necessary, sterilized after each treatment and before use, carefully following the instructions.
Before being cleaned, disinfected or sterilized, the components must be disassembled as indicated:
- detach the tube;
- remove the external bell with a rotary motion;
- remove the atomizer by pushing the flap;
- remove the cap from the base.
