HIV self-test for the diagnosis of HIV infection. HIV self-test that detects HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies with a drop of blood from a fingerstick. HIV test performed in the privacy of your own home. Shipping in an anonymous package. In vitro diagnostic medical device CE 0543.
Preparation:
- Use a flat, dry surface.
- Clean and dry your hands.
- Open the Membrane Unit package and place it on the stand.
- Place bottle 1 on the red holder.
- Remove the cap and place it nearby.
Blood collection:
- Rub your hands and fingers together to increase blood flow.
- Twist and detach the tip of the lancet.
- Place the lancet next to the fingertip and press firmly until you hear a click.
- Rub your finger to get a generous drop of blood.
- Place the tip of the pipette at an angle to the drop of blood.
- Collect blood up to the black line.
- Immediately insert the pipette into bottle 1 and squeeze the blood out.
- Close bottle 1.
- Apply the patch to the finger to stop the bleeding.
Tests and results:
- Shake bottle 1 4 times and pour all the liquid contained in it into the holder with the membrane.
- Shake bottle 2 4 times and pour out all the liquid inside.
- Take bottle 3 and, without shaking it, pour in all the liquid it contains.
- Read results within 5 minutes.
