What it is and what it is used for
SOMATOLINE is a dermatological product with anti-cellulite activity. SOMATOLINE is used for localized adiposity accompanied by cellulite. Contact your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short period of treatment.
What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use SOMATOLINE
- if you are allergic to the active substances levothyroxine and escin or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- Iodine intolerance.
- Pregnancy and breast-feeding (see PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING).
Warnings and precautions
There are no special precautions to take before using SOMATOLINE. The use, especially if prolonged, of products for skin use can give rise to sensitization phenomena and lead to unwanted effects. In this case, you should stop the treatment and consult your doctor. You should not use the product near mucous membranes. It is advisable to consult your doctor even in cases where disorders have occurred in the past. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using SOMATOLINE.
Children and adolescents
Do not use in children and adolescents.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. There are no known specific side effects attributable to the treatment. Cases with symptoms attributable to altered thyroid function have been reported very rarely. Following the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects. These side effects are generally transitory.
