INFRARED THERMOMETER
Description
In vitro diagnostic medical device CE 0482.
A non-contact infrared thermometer measures the temperature of a human body or objects using infrared energy emitted from the forehead or an object (e.g., milk or water). Quick measurement results can be obtained by pointing the thermometer at the object.
The infrared temperature sensor collects infrared energy emitted from the forehead. After being captured by a lens, the energy is converted into temperature by thermopiles and the measuring circuit.
Read the warnings and instructions for use carefully.

Precautions
- Do not use the thermometer for continuous temperature monitoring purposes.
- Do not put the thermometer in water or other liquid, it is not water-repellent.
- Clean and disinfect the thermometer as described in the manual.
- Do not touch the tip of the temperature gauge which has a precision temperature sensor.
- The ambient temperature should not be too high or too low. To ensure an accurate reading, keep the thermometer at room temperature for more than 30 minutes before use.
- Do not use the thermometer in ambient temperatures above 40°C (104°F) or below 10°C (50°F), which are beyond the operating temperature range of the thermometer.
Warnings
- The thermometer is not intended to diagnose or treat any disease or illness. Measurement results are for reference only.
- It is dangerous to self-diagnose or treat yourself based on the results of your measurements. For such purposes, please consult a doctor or other healthcare professional.
- Do not recharge a dry alkaline battery or throw it into a fire. Otherwise, the battery may explode.
- Do not disassemble the thermometer in an attempt to repair it. Otherwise, the thermometer may be permanently damaged.
- During measurement, do not use cell phones or other devices that may cause electromagnetic interference.
- Do not use the thermometer in an environment where flammable air-based, oxygen-based or nitrous oxide-based compounds are present.
Conservation
The thermometer should be packaged and stored in a well-ventilated room free of corrosive gases. The ambient temperature should be between –10°C and +50°C (14°F–122°F), the relative humidity should be less than 93% (non-condensing), and the atmospheric pressure should be 50–106 kPa.
The thermometer has a shelf life of 5 years.
