THD2FE THERMOMETER
Description
Remote infrared forehead thermometer. Class IIa medical device.
General characteristics :
- Multifunction: Measures the temperature of the forehead and objects without contact.
- Fast and accurate: measurement in about 1 second.
- Night function: does not disturb the child's sleep.

How to use
Information before use
- Cleaning and storage:
Please make sure the sensor is clean to ensure accurate measurements.
The sensor is the most delicate part of the thermometer. Be careful when cleaning the sensor to avoid damage.
a. Use alcohol swabs or cotton swabs moistened with 70% to 75% alcohol to clean the sensor.
b. Let the sensor dry for at least 1 minute.
c. Keep the product dry and away from liquids and direct sunlight.
d. Storage temperature: must be stored under the following conditions -20÷+50°C, RH≤85%.
e. The sensor must not be immersed in liquids.
Holding the thermometer in your hand for too long may cause the room temperature to be higher than the actual one.
This could make the body temperature measurement lower than it actually is.
- Replacing the batteries:
When the battery icon shows that the batteries are low, the batteries should be replaced immediately with two AAA batteries.
1. Open the battery cover: Use your thumb to push out the battery compartment cover.
2. Insert the two AAA batteries.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
Body temperature measurement
Press the "ON/MEM" button to turn on the device. Forehead mode is the default. The icon appears on the display and two beeps sound. In this mode, hold the thermometer 4 cm from the center of your forehead and press the "START" button to take a forehead measurement. The measurement takes 1 second. After each forehead measurement, wait for the icon to stop flashing before taking the next measurement.
Points of attention:
a) The forehead temperature is displayed in oral mode, i.e. the forehead temperature is converted and its "oral equivalent" value is displayed.
b) Before the measurement, the subject must remain in the same environment for 5 minutes and avoid physical exercise and bathing in the previous 30 minutes.
c) The forehead area must be clean and free of sweat, cosmetics, and scars when taking the temperature.

Cleaning and disinfection
For home disinfection of the appliance, use 70% concentrated alcohol (ethanol or isopropyl alcohol), available at pharmacies.
Clean the measurement sensor after each use. Use a clean cloth or a cotton swab soaked in 70% concentrated alcohol.
To clean the entire appliance, use a soft cloth slightly dampened with a mild soapy solution. Avoid getting liquids inside the appliance. Do not reuse it until it is completely dry.
Warnings
EMC Directive :
1) THD2FE requires special precautions regarding electromagnetic fields and must be installed and put into service in accordance with the EMC information provided in the manual.
2) Portable and mobile RF communications equipment can affect THD2FE.
3) Wireless communication devices, such as wireless home networking devices, mobile phones, cordless phones, and their base stations and portable transceivers, must be maintained at a minimum distance d=0.5 m from the device. The distance d is calculated by the manufacturer in the frequency band from 800 MHz to 2.7 GHz as specified in IEC 60601-1-2:2015 for medical electrical equipment at an immunity level of 10 V/m.
The materials used for packaging and the inks used are certified as non-toxic.
