Vit A -POS
Description
CE Medical Device, Class IIa, based on vitamin A. Sterile, preservative-free vitamin A ophthalmic ointment. Thanks to its unique composition, it is easily applied to the ocular surface. VitA-POS protects the ocular surface and stabilizes the tear film. The vitamin A it contains is a natural constituent of the tear film, promoting good tolerability of the ophthalmic ointment and ensuring complete mixing with tears. It relieves the sensation of burning, dryness, or tired eyes. Finally, it facilitates the gliding of the eyelids over the corneal and conjunctival surfaces.
How to use
Eye ointments should be used without contact between the dispensing nozzle and the eye or skin. Unscrew the cap covering the dispensing nozzle. The cap is sealed with a white ring that ensures the integrity of the tube before first use and therefore guarantees its safety. Use VitA-POS only if the sealing ring on the tube is intact before first use. When first opened, the cap is separated from the white sealing ring. Please remove the sealing ring from the tube before first applying the ointment. Tilt your head back slightly, lower your lower eyelid slightly, and, with gentle pressure on the tube, spread a thin line of ointment into the conjunctival sac. Slowly close your eyelids. Carefully close the tube after use. The frequency of use depends on your personal habits and needs. VitA-POS can be used in addition to lubricating eye drops and is generally applied once a day at night before bed. For more frequent use of VitA-POS, consult your doctor. There are no limits on the duration of treatment.
Warnings
VitA-POS should not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the product's components. Using the product during the day may cause slight visual impairment due to the ointment's greasy consistency. In these cases, you should therefore avoid driving a car, operating machinery, or working without a stable base.
VitA-POS should not be used while wearing contact lenses. VitA-POS should not be used simultaneously with other ophthalmic pharmaceutical products. In these cases, VitA-POS should be used at least 30 minutes after applying other medicinal products to the eye. To dispense the ointment, apply gentle pressure to the tube without bending or twisting it. Based on current research, VitA-POS can also be used in children, pregnant women, or breastfeeding women. Use one VitA-POS pack per individual patient. Keep VitA-POS out of the reach of children.
Do not use VitA-POS after the expiry date.
Conservation
Store at room temperature (15-25°C).
Shelf life in unopened packaging: 36 months.
Validity after first opening: 6 months.
