Description
Medical food for special purposes, indicated for the dietary treatment of subjects with inflammatory processes affecting the colon for the recovery of the correct functionality of the mucosa, based on sodium butyrate, niacin and tyndallized Lactobacillus acidophilus.
Butyric acid is rapidly absorbed in the upper gastrointestinal tract.
To allow sodium butyrate to reach the intestinal tract, Zymecol tablets have been coated with an enteric-coated film composed of a mixture of ethylcellulose, ammonium hydroxide, medium chain triglycerides, oleic acid, sodium alginate and stearic acid.
The percentage of film increase and the percentage ratio between sodium alginate and ethylcellulose allow to modulate the release of the active ingredients in the desired gastrointestinal tract.

Gluten free, sugar free.

Naturally lactose free.

How to use
The daily dose of Zymecol must be established and controlled by your doctor. As a guideline, it is recommended to take 1 to 2 tablets per day in 2 separate administrations, morning and evening, on an empty stomach.
The tablets should be swallowed whole, one at a time, accompanied by a sufficient quantity of water.
Do not break the tablets to avoid compromising the integrity of the gastro-resistant coating.

The product is not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition.
Indicated for the diet of people suffering from irritable bowel syndrome.
Keep out of reach of children.

Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place away from light, humidity and direct sources of heat.
The minimum durability date refers to the product in intact packaging, correctly stored.
Validity with intact packaging: 30 months.
