Azeltri Gel is based on active ingredients recognized as valid adjuvants in the treatment of scalp alterations and the functionality of the hair and root.
A useful stimulant for the vitality of growing hair and for the "mass effect", it helps improve the external appearance and normalize the barrier effect of the scalp.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS AND ACTIONS
Azelaic Acid: is a natural substance produced by a yeast (Malassezia furfur) normally present in the skin flora but also found in wheat, rye and barley.
It is known for its bacteriostatic, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and is recommended in treatments for impure and acne-prone skin thanks to its sebum-regulating activity.
It is also useful as an adjuvant in the treatment of androgenetic alopecia, the most common cause of hair loss in both men and women and is caused by the action of androgen hormones. In particular, it has been shown to have a potent inhibitory effect on the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, which is concentrated in hair follicles and converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone, the main cause of hair loss in those genetically predisposed to its action.
Thanks to its ability to block the enzyme, testosterone is not converted into dihydrotestosterone, thus helping to maintain hair vitality.
Tea Tree oil: An essential oil obtained by distilling the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a plant native to Australia. Its name derives from the Greek "mèlanos" (black) and "leukòs" (white) due to the contrast between its dark green foliage and white bark. It is considered one of the most valuable natural allies thanks to its antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties; it can also be used pure and applied to cold sores, pimples, canker sores, fungal infections, warts, or skin affected by dermatitis.
