flurbiprofen
What it is and what it is used for
Dolaut gola contains flurbiprofen which is an anti-inflammatory medicine used for oral cavity conditions.
Dolaut gola is used to treat the symptoms of irritation and inflammation, also associated with pain in the mouth and throat (e.g. gingivitis, stomatitis, pharyngitis), also as a consequence of dental therapies (conservative or extractive).
Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short time of treatment.
What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use Dolaut Throat
- if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6),
- if you are allergic to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), particularly when the allergy is associated with asthma or urticaria,

Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Dolaut gola.
• At the recommended doses, swallowing Dolaut gola does not cause any harm as the quantity ingested is much lower than that of a single dose of the medicine taken systemically (e.g. by mouth).
• If you use Dolaut gola mouthwash, especially for a prolonged period, you may experience sensitization or local irritation phenomena; in such cases, stop the treatment and consult your doctor to have, if necessary, an appropriate therapy.
• If you do not obtain appreciable results after a short period of treatment, consult your doctor.
• If you suffer from kidney, heart or liver failure, use the medicine with caution.
• Do not combine Dolaut gola with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
• Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have an infection – see “Infections” section below.
Infections
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may hide signs of infection such as fever and pain. This may delay appropriate treatment of the infection, which may increase the risk of complications. If you take this medicine during an infection and the symptoms of the infection persist or worsen, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The use of the medicine, especially if prolonged, can give rise to phenomena of sensitization or local irritation; in such cases, interrupt the treatment and the doctor, if necessary, will prescribe an appropriate therapy.
Following the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
